Toyota Camry Sun Visor Plastic Tab Replacement

This is for the 2011 Toyota Camry or similar model years. The plastic tab within the sun visor had broken off and required a piece of plastic to keep the metal rod in place. You don't need this if your sun visor only fell an inch from the ceiling. Fixing it before further damages is all you have to do. I waited too long, and by the time it drops off from the ceiling, the plastic holding tabs were completely broken off from the visor. Mine was not covered in a recall, but I should check to see if I am eligible. I can probably put that piece back in and fix it with this, however I think a bigger piece is better (more surface to catch the tab of the rod). Others are using screw/bolt/rivet to hold it, but I think with the metal wires from the clip it has a better look. Not sure how well it can hold, but time will tell. In worst case, I can always go back to fix it with big bolts/nuts. Materials 3 paper clips (various size or strong metal wire). I used one large and 2 medium size. I use 2 layers of Butyl tape and sandwich a layer of filament tape in between.
