I designed a replacement cup holder for the 2007-10 Toyota Camry to fill a gap left by a missing middle part. The compartment originally intended for the cup holder is extremely shallow and asymmetrical in its design. My primary objective was to replace the spring-loaded OEM part that had gone missing with a device capable of accommodating a large big-gulp cup. The cup holder I created consists of two distinct parts: 1) A freestanding cup holder and 2) A frame that fits into the cup holder to securely hold large cups in place. The shallow design of the original cup holder made it ill-suited for accommodating large-sized cups, especially given the hinged compartment on the car which added significant complexity to the task.
