Toyota Aristo/Dyna/Toyoace cable clip
thingiverse
I'd like to share my Toyota Aristo JZS147's unique throttle cable system with you guys. You see, my car comes equipped with clips that hold the two throttle cables to the factory strut brace. Unfortunately for me, those original clips had given up the ghost, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and remodel them in SketchUp. After putting in some elbow grease, I've come up with a brand new design – let's call it Revision 1.1! It looks pretty snazzy if I do say so myself, although I must confess that I managed to lose the original STL files for Rev 1 during the design process. I'm not worried, though; this one will work just as well in its place, and I've made some adjustments to make sure it'll fit nice and snugly into position. Just be aware that you'll need to resize the new model to a size of 26.25mm by 28.5mm by 4.2mm to get the best results – anything more than that might be a bit too tight, but don't worry; it's easily fixed by increasing the X and Y dimensions by a mere millimeter or two! One important note: when you print this design out in ABS plastic (I recommend using high-temperature settings for optimal results), keep an eye on those clips – they're situated right above the turbochargers, after all! Did you know that other Toyota models use essentially the same type of clip? Yeah – Dyna and Toyoace owners also get to benefit from this nifty little invention, but theirs are used to hold handbrake cables in place. As for those of us rocking the Toyota Aristo JZS147, don't worry: there's no shortage of Toyota-approved parts on hand. My clip's part number is 90469-10003, so grab a hold of it and let the tweaking begin! Just to sweeten the deal, I've recently added a second model to my collection – "clip Rev2." It mirrors its predecessor but isn't quite perfect (after all, imitation is indeed the sincerest form of flattery), and you'll still need to give it a proper resizing to get it to fit like a glove. I highly recommend taking your newly created ABS-printed clips out for a spin and seeing how they work out in practice. After all, isn't that what this whole adventure was about – creating something unique, getting creative with some innovative tech solutions? So go ahead; give these clips a test run, and enjoy every minute of the thrilling world of engine tuning!
