Replacement rod clips for neighbors broken set on a Tacoma tailgate are available. These clips can be used in doors and under the hood as well. A warning is necessary, these clips are deliberately a little oversized. Properly dimensioned parts were a bit thin on the actual snap in so larger clips were created. They may be too big in some spots, so trimming or more force (Bigger Hammer) might be needed to make them work. Sized at 4.05mm for 4mm rod, but cleanup with a drill bit from printing might be necessary. Yes, Toyota does make left and right handed versions. It seems like it wouldn't really matter in most cases, but not wanting the thrust of movement to go against the open side of the rod holding part of the clip is understandable. Printed in ABS on Rostock, preset in a group of 4 (and there are 4 in a tailgate), and printing singles on such a small part was messy because there wasn't enough time for layers to cool between passes.
