This Toy Train Track segment, designed for MakerBot printing, is compatible with Thomas, Ikea, and Brio brand wooden train tracks. To tackle warpage issues in larger objects, a lattice structure has been employed to allow lower layers to flex and cool independently of the upper geometry. While there was minor raft-platform separation, it was an improvement over previous versions. The main track measures 54mm long and 40mm wide, with a total length of 72mm; socket-side holes may need widening for a tighter fit. To use the design, download the STL file, set up raft printing in Skeinforge according to your preference, print, play, and you can even edit the track using SketchUp for personalization.
