Toy Train Carriage (Brio etc.) This is a train carriage compatible with most wooden railways (Brio etc.). It is designed to match the locomotive https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3790522. It consists of 11 printed parts, two magnets (4mm diameter x 2 mm thick) and 3 axles (two 28 mm long for wheels and one 18mm long for door) cut from 2mm diameter steel rods. Some parts are keyed for accurate alignment and there are two different colours as shown in pictures. Print in PLA at 0.2mm layer height. The cabin should be printed upside down with the door gap facing up. Drill through both door holes with a 2 mm drill after printing to ensure proper opening. Support is not essential. Start by assembling the roof and its guide piece using glue. Then assemble the wheels (check the train thing file for a mounting jig). Mount the wheels on the chassis and glue the retaining plate in place. Assemble the cabin and door using the small axle. Glue the cabin in place on the chassis making sure no glue gets under the door. Attach the chairs to the base of the cabin using glue. Glue the roof on to the top of the cabin. Finally, glue the two magnets in at both ends being careful to ensure they have opposite polarities.
