Toy Train

Update 11/24/2017 Uploaded .step file for those of you who want to edit the model, feel free to share your remixes here! Have fun! The toy train was designed as a simple design that brings back childhood memories of playing with toys and creating stories. The train measures 100 mm long and 50 mm wide. The wheels and axles were printed separately to maintain an overall high-quality print. I used supports in some areas using Simplify3D. This model can also be scaled down to 0.5 to print faster and more comfortably, as shown in the pictures. This is a submission to the E3D BigBox contest in May 2016. Notes (5/11/16): Regarding support material - I used supports on the bottom of the train because there is no material toward the front of the train meeting the print bed. The windows did not need support material as the bridging occurs over small distances of 10-20 mm. The arch in the conductor's compartment also makes it possible to print without support. A small tip would be greatly appreciated for this FREE design: Donations Buy me a cup of coffee $3.00 USD Buy me a cup of coffee and a donut $5.00 USD Contribute to my education $10.00 USD Thank you and enjoy!
