Toy switching engine for Wooden track
myminifactory
This is a switching engine, designed for use on standard wooden tracks intended for younger kids. I initially created these for my nephew's enjoyment. I envision expanding this concept in the future by incorporating other cars into the design. My little switching engine boasts one significant advantage over commercial trains - its coupling system uses a bucky-ball sized round magnet that can rotate to match the polarity of the connecting car, ensuring seamless connections. To assemble your new train set, be sure to use plenty of glue to secure the pieces together. However, take care not to glue those wheels in place as they need to be free-moving for proper operation.
