Toy switching engine for Wooden track
cults3d
This model is designed for smaller wooden tracks typically used by younger children. Initially, I created these for my nephew's enjoyment. Future plans include adding more cars to expand the system. One key advantage this little switching engine has over commercially bought trains lies in its coupling mechanism. While static magnets are commonly found on store-bought models, mine uses a larger round magnet roughly the size of a bucky-ball. This allows it to rotate and match the polarity of the connecting car for secure attachment. Enjoy building!
