Toy switching engine for Wooden track

thingiverse

A 3D printable toy locomotive designed for compatibility with widely available wooden tracks. I aimed to design additional toy trains since numerous track objects are available but few printable trains exist. Existing designs often use a hook and loop system in place of magnets, which I've replaced with 5mm magnet balls, reminiscent of old buckyballs. These seem readily accessible and function well. Since I'm using a single magnet ball, it can rotate and switch polarity as needed; a problem I've noticed in mass-produced toy wooden trains. The locomotive requires assembly and subsequent gluing before it's ready for use. The couplers are printed at .1mm height, while all other components are printed at .2mm height. Carefully examine the attached image showing color-coded pieces to determine how the engine should be assembled. Assembly should be straightforward.
