Toy submarine with spinning propeller
thingiverse
This is a model for a toy submarine, carefully designed to bring hours of fun to a nine-month-old baby during bath time. Under close adult supervision, the child will delight in playing with this water-filled toy that sinks to the bottom of the tub. The model features an impressive spinning seven-blade propeller, a detailed hatch, periscope, and handle that invite interactive play. For added stability, I've included holes for 2-3 pennies to be inserted if needed. Enjoy printing! Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer Model: Simple White Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .18 Infill: 20-25% Notes: To achieve a strong toy, print the bottom and middle sections with a 20% infill and support. The propeller should be printed with 100% infill and supports everywhere. For the upper section, use 25% or more infill and support with a 10-line brim. Scaling up slightly is possible for a bigger toy. Post-Printing: Finishing the Toy Carefully remove the prop from its axle using an X-Acto knife. Be cautious when freeing the top section of the prop from its supports, ensuring it fits smoothly onto the bottom and middle sections. Sand all parts, then use super glue to assemble the toy. Avoid gluing the propeller to the axle at any cost.
