Toy Safety Testing Cylinder

_Small Parts Cylinder / Toy Safety Testing Cylinder_ This is a cylinder to check small parts, that can be swallowed by children. The dimensions are according ISO 8124 / IEC 60335. Someone mentioned that one design of me (Table corner protectors) could be dangerous because it could be swallowed by children. I took it seriously, did a small research and checked this with my own printed safety testing tool. Usage: Put your test item inside the cylinder without deformation of the test item and the cylinder. Try all possible positions and orientations. If the item is completely inside the cylinder, the test item is not intended for children under the age of three years. The test should also be performed with all detachable parts and everything that could peel off or come loose. Printing: The cylinder should be printed with enough infill to avoid deformation. There must be no layer shifts or blobs. Beware of shrinking and check your print tolerances! All dimensions should be as close as possible to the shown dimension drawing, never smaller! **Warning: Use your brain! No guarantee/warranty of this design and dimensions. Even if this could imply that a tested item should be safe, it can be dangerous anyway. It can be dangerous even if your kid is older than three years or the item is bigger. ** **The cylinder tells you only, that an item meets a specific norm for toy safety, not that the item is safe or unsafe!** **This is just for a short self check and does not replace common sense. The design is not intended to perform an safety test according DIN EN 71-1 or any official test.**
