Toy Roads for MicroMachines or N-Scale
thingiverse
My young grandchildren wanted to add roads to our N-scale train table, and we discovered that Micro Machines (which they had) are close to the correct scale. I made this OpenSCAD program, which depends on the excellent Belfry Library (https://github.com/revarbat/BOSL2), to generate various road parts. A lot of parameters are provided, but the embedded numbers gave us reasonable results. The first generation I printed thinner to save material, but they didn't interlock well, so we went to 4 mm and we're happy. I've provided an assortment of STL files for those who don't want to use OpenSCAD. Note: These are toys, not highly detailed models. If you're looking for accessories for your wonderfully detailed trains, these probably aren't for you. If you're looking for something simple and rugged for children, take a look. The arch is particularly crude, and requires a lot of supports to print. Sorry.
