Toy Quadcopter / Drone - Dual Prop
thingiverse
Thanks to Pefozzy for the base model. The props have been modified to dual-prop, retaining the original internal hole diameter so pins can fit snugly and glue in the same manner. The image showcases glow-in-the-dark props, which kids found entertaining. The attached base is plain, devoid of any lettering or shape. To add a letter, utilize software like Meshmixer (or explore alternative methods): 0. Import the base model. 1. Add the letter shape and adjust its size. 2. Re-mesh the top surface of the base where the shape will sit, selecting and re-meshing repeatedly to generate numerous triangles (as many as your computer can handle). 3. Make the base translucent with a shader or apply a letter/shape texture, then lower it slightly to create an indentation. 4. In the object browser (accessed via View), first select the base, followed by the letter/shape, and perform a boolean difference (set to maximum accuracy your computer can handle). 5. Inspect for any holes using the inspection tool and rectify as needed. Export the design to STL and print.
