Toy Paddle or Small Scoop . XCB-105-3604. 400 BCE-100 CE XCB-105 Adamagan, named for its location as a place of walrus hunters in Aleut, marks the head of Morzhovoi Bay on the western Alaska Peninsula. It boasts an enormous village with diverse occupations. During its occupation spanning 400 BCE-100 CE, it stood as the largest Arctic village, estimated to house around 1000 people. Additional occupations are documented at limited times: 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts stem from research funded by NSF grants 9630072, 9814086, 9996372, 9996415, 1139266, and 1321411. H. Maschner spearheaded the project as Principal Investigator. Artifacts were digitized using either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i scanner. Processed in Geomagic or Polyworks software, textures were added from 2-8 photographs in Geomagic Wrap. Initial digitizing took place at the IVL at Idaho State University, while subsequent processing and publication occurred at Global Digital Heritage.
