Me and the lady restored a busted up Top-Toy No. 88 fire engine, which needed some replacement parts:

Rear-view mirrors

Wheelhouse

AA Battery lid

I hope these parts may be useful for other toys as well.

I can recommend that, if you're giving a toy like this to a kid below the age of ten, then don't bother with the mirrors. They're the first thing to go :)

Included is:

Individual STL files. Mirror/flip the images for opposite sides

Blender project file

I no longer have the print settings lying around, but I suggest printing the mirrors and battery compartment with quite high quality(0.10mm), as they have a fair amount of detail. The wheelhouse needs to be quite strong (say 0.25mm, 30% infill) as this is a part which takes a beating.

The mirrors are made "push-to-fit" with no glue required. As for the wheelhouse, I suggest filing it and the surface you're applying it to down with sandpaper, and use a solvent or similar agent to stick the pieces together. I printed the items using HiPS.

FYI: The items pictured may be a bit different from the STL models. See the Blender file for some version history.
Category: Parts
