Toy Cutter
thingiverse
I designed this toy for kids to have fun with. My son wanted to play with my cutter, which I use to clean miniatures - so I created this child-friendly version. Every part was made on an m3d printer. The sled has a spring that helps the toy work just like the real cutters do. **How It Was Made** *The blade of the cutter was printed without any raft or supports.* *A UniSled was used to print the blade holder, and it came with its own raft and support structures.* *For everything else, I simply used a raft.* I chose the printing direction from top to bottom so that during the process the model wouldn't bend, especially when printing the rails. As for the rails themselves - they curled up on me just like a banana after I printed them in that orientation.*
