Toy Camera or Rattle

IF YOU PRINT ONE, SHARE IT! One of my close friends has just welcomed a baby! He's an exceptional fashion photographer and designer, so I wouldn't dare attempt to select a shower gift that includes any type of outfit or blanket... (No need to embarrass myself.) Instead, I wanted to help him start instilling a deep love of photography in his daughter, with the hope that one day she and her father can enjoy it together. So I designed a 3D printable toy camera for her. Almost all edges are rounded to make it safe for really little ones who tend to flail about and also prevent bigger kids from hurting themselves if they fall on it. The small handle on the side is great for tiny hands or a big loop for a camera strap later on. The viewfinder is tapered out, providing an excellent perspective for the budding photographer! Print one today for your little artist. Be sure to print with support due to the handle not being flat on the build platform. I added my friend's daughter's name to this design, but you can use any CAD program to do it as well. If you don't know how, just ask Google - she knows everything! PRO TIP: If you wait until it's about 40% printed and add some dry rice into the infill, you can turn this into a nice little rattle! I printed this with 15% infill to allow plenty of room for the dry rice. Note that some rice may get blown out if printing in PLA due to the directed fan... just keep adding more until you're satisfied. To keep the sound well muffled and not too sharp, I printed this with three shells.
