Toy Blimp
myminifactory
The vintage Navy Blimp on display at the Fort Lee Regional Archaeological Curation Facility's museum showcases a remarkable find from archaeological excavations at A.P. Hill, where it was unearthed between 1920 and 1940. Scanned to draw attention to the facility's collections and exhibits, this toy blimp offers a glimpse into the past. Manufactured by the renowned Hubley company, its cast iron design features the word "NAVY" prominently on either side. Despite extensive rust damage to its wheels, the archaeologically recovered toy remains an invaluable piece of history, unfortunately non-functional due to its age and decay.
