Toy Airplane
thingiverse
This 3D model features a wooden toy crafted by the user's father over two decades ago. The user has been digitizing and printing replicas of old toys for their dad on Father's Day, and now shares this model for others to enjoy. The STL file provides a scale model with a 100mm wingspan, which can be scaled up to a full-size version (2200mm). A blog post with more details is available at http://thenewhobbyist.com/2012/06/like-father-like-son-part-2/. To print and assemble the model, use the included STL file (fits one TOm print bed), cut 1/8" dowel for the wheel axle and struts, and glue together the wooden and ABS parts. Enjoy playing with your finished toy!
