Update 2/28/2021: New Files Added with Optional Pinstripe Texture on Baffles, and Parts for Internal Cable Routing I have posted a sound demo video here, listen with headphones: https://youtu.be/HBoxPJCgFD8 If you like it, please hit like! Check out my matching satellite speakers here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4779609 This is a remixed version of Hexibase's Hexibox v3, compatible with smaller printers. It's a dual woofer 6th order bass reflex design using two Tangband W3-1876S 3" drivers. The acoustic design is a straight copy from the original, chamber volumes, port length and area are all matched to within ~1%. I have mounted the two drivers back to back to cut down on vibrations. To allow this to be printed on smaller print beds, I've split it into modules which glue together. I made two versions of the ports; enclosed blocks, and open versions with the port shape visible, take your pick. There is also a version of the front baffle with notches for printed guards. There are several versions of the driver enclosure, with the holes for binding posts on different faces. You can mix and match the top box variants and the port styles to assemble the speaker you need: 1x Top Box, 1x Port1, 1x Middle Box, and 1x Port2, and appropriate baffles. I've designed the baffles for M3 screws and nuts. The terminal post cutouts are 5mm. Printing: The largest part is 175mm x 130mm x 130mm Supports: * The standard Top Boxes require support under the first shelf * The Middle Box "open at both ends" also requires support under the first shelf * The 90 degree driver variants have integrated support across the driver cutout * No other support required. (There are 45 degree overhangs at the top of the ports.) You need to print these with a good number of walls and high infill. PLA works fine, but PETG is better at damping resonances. Assembly: As a guide, the interfaces have 0.3mm clearance for the glue line. I suggest gluing the baffles onto the chambers first, and then glue the modules together. The driver guards can be glued in, or held with a blob of blue-tack, there is 1mm clearance at the bottom of the socket. .f3d files are provided. Please post your makes. Thanks again to Hexibase for posting the acoustic design!
