I saw a YouTube video some time ago that sparked an idea, which I then adapted to create my own mechanism using Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition. The frames were edited with Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP files, which were then remuxed to MP4 format using MyMP4BoxGui. Gifs were made with PhotoScape, while renders were edited with IrfanView before being compressed with 7zip. The software can be downloaded from https://www.7-zip.org/download.html. The model is available in various formats including Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, Blender, U3D, and GLTF, as well as FBX.
