Towel Rail Extender

My bathroom has a single towel rail that can only hold one towel at a time. What if I need to dry two towels simultaneously? The solution lies in installing an additional towel rail, but first, you'll need to check if there's enough space in your bathroom for another rail. Alternatively, you could attach a second rail to the existing one. This design is broken down into three printable pieces that can be screwed together once assembled. Two sets of prints will be required - one for each end of the rail. If you're looking for an affordable solution, consider purchasing a simple rail from a hardware store that matches your existing rail's dimensions. The beauty of this design lies in its customizability. You can modify several parameters to suit your needs, including: * The diameter of the existing rail * The diameter of the new rail * The lengths of each piece * The size of the screw holes (currently designed for M3 screws) * Other customizable features To ensure a snug fit, use Pythagoras to calculate the length of the wall piece that will hold the extension in place. I used a 60-degree angle to achieve a precise measurement. If you're unsure about the correct length, print multiple versions with varying lengths and test them against your existing rail. When assembling the rail, allow for some tolerance in the rail diameters. The wall piece will provide additional support, so it's not necessary to make it too tight. To prevent unsightly open-ended metal piping, I also designed end caps that can be attached to the tube. Assembly Instructions: 1. Print two sets of brackets, each sized to fit both your existing and new rails. 2. Gather 4 M3 screws (and nuts) for each bracket. 3. Attach the wall piece and middle piece to the existing rail, ensuring the wall piece is oriented correctly. 4. Once you have two sets attached, fit the extra rail and screw on the final pieces.
