Tow Hooks for Bungee Launching
thingiverse
These are take-down hooks, large and small, designed for launching model aircraft on a bungee launcher. For my Pinata or Caipi (around 1kg AUW), I use the smaller hook, while my Chimera (2-4KG AUW) demands the larger one. These versatile attachments snap easily onto key rings - about 1" for the small one and 2" for the large model. To ensure secure hold on your plane, install these take-down hooks two-thirds of the way back from the nose towards the center of gravity, along the central axis. Before gluing them to foam, make sure to roughen up the base thoroughly, then apply GOOP to create a solid bond. I also like to carve out a small square in the foam to better integrate the hook and reinforce their adhesive connection.
