Tow boogie - rope attach point - for Alu 1" square tube tow bar
thingiverse
Rope attachment point for tow boogie which puts the rope at the level of the bottom of the boogie board, making it turn better without tipping over, and significantly helps with the waterstart pulling the rider up onto the foil. The low attach point for the tow rope causes the front of the boogie to be pulled down, giving max stability. This is designed for a aluminium square tube 1" (25.7mm) as the tow bar. Aluminium box tube is bolted onto the top of the mast, attached to the back of the board securely, and this piece goes on the end of the alu box tube to guide the rope into the correct position close to the water. Requires a m5 x 35-40mm bolt to secure this under the alu box section tow bar. The rope needs to be attached to the aluminium bar closer to the mast of the tow boogie (not this 3d printed piece). I drilled a 10mm hole vertically through the box section for the rope to attach through, just in front of this printed piece. I use a shortish piece of 6mm dyneema for this purpose, with a knot on the end, and I larks head the tow handle rope onto the dyneema knot so it's easy to remove if necessary. Recommend 3+ walls, with 25+ % infill. I used an infill modifier for higher density at the rear of the part. Print orientation - the rear flat surface with the hole for the rope should be sitting on the print bed.
