A lamp sculpture design with instructions provided; it could also function as a standalone decorative piece. Printed in two-tone shades of blue and florescent blue, this piece is named "Tourou," which means lamp in Japanese. Version 2 includes a side cutout for easier wire installation. The model was created using Modo software. For optimal printing results, it's suggested to print at a larger size due to the thickness of the top spheres, allowing for better bulb accommodation. Photos showcasing T-GLASE PETT by Taulman 3D filament can be found in the post. Printing settings for a Rep 2 include a temperature of 238°C, speed at 30 mm/s, and layer height at .3mm. The thicker extrusion was recommended by the manufacturer for enhanced transparency. Two-shell printing with 10% infill is advised. To convert it into a table lamp or nightlight, gather materials such as a two-prong LED light socket, a 12V transformer, an on/off switch, and wiring. A 12V LED light, sized appropriately for the print's first level hole, is also needed. Wires can be secured in the back of the sculpture to avoid accidental dislodging. The light socket is wired to a 12V transformer, and the LED light is hot glued into place from below. An additional on/off switch can be added for convenience. Note that the LED lights generate more heat than expected, which may cause issues with the hot glue over time. A standalone LED light holder has been developed as a solution to this problem (link provided).
