Note: If I find someone locally with a Hornet I will make rear body base for the Hornet as well. The top shock mounts will interfere with the Grasshopper base so if the current kit is to be used on ahornet the top shock mounts will need to be removed and the shocks moved forward to the Grasshopper location. Video:https://youtu.be/vfVMTPh_ngI I decided to make touring car adapter parts for my Tamiya Grasshopper. The bases for the body mounts are well supported against chassis parts to make them strong, and use preexisting screw holes. Use the original Tamiya screws to install them to the chassis. The two rearmost holes between the shock towers need two extra Tamiya screws. The reason the base parts are quite big is because they are made to be supported against the chassis in several areas so that the original screw holes aren't ripped out in a crash, and to make use of original existing screw holes so that no butchering is required. Use M3x12mm or 3mm Tamiya screws to install the body posts. The rear posts are fully adjustable in height. Cut off the excess bottom length after adjustment of your body height. The front Grasshopper bumper can be used if you mount the body high enough or cut the body to clear the bumper. The touring car wheels are designed for cheap tires and foams. The Orange Ford Capri body in the photo is a Tamiya body that had pre cut body holes so any Tamiya TT02 body should fit. The blue SUBAPU (lol) body is a cheap body that I cut holes to fit the same posts as the TT02 chassis.
