Tough miniquad
thingiverse
First version of a miniquad to run a powerful setup. A lot of the designs have very soft arms, resulting in a poor P factor because the flame flexes too much (printed in ABS at least). Here is mine. Best setup: Carbon fiber arms. I will upgrade the design when I get these 4s battery 6045 props Features: Arms designed to break away in case of a crash GoPro protective cage No flex on the roll axis Very little to no flex on the tilt axis. Motors can easily be tilted for more speed Battery on the bottom, for better stability / CG. Using thick aluminium arms, AUW without battery and GoPro is 580g. Heavy right? But stable hover at 38% throttle with a 4s 1800Mah. Flight video very soon! Update - August 26, 2015: Had a little crash and the rear arm did break away, popping off a ziptie. Unfortunately the GoPro cover also cracked.
