
Tough Door Hanger

I created a door hanger to hold my backpack on the door, featuring a design that meets specific requirements. The key goals were: - To support at least 20-30 pounds - To be printable in PLA material - To print easily without supports The final design is uploaded as an STL file and was tested using SolidWorks (SW) simulation with estimated values for PLA found online. Topology optimization helped identify areas where material could be removed from the initial configuration to reduce weight and size. This study served as a reference point for modifying the part's design. The final model underwent further testing in FEA, loaded with 50 pounds and reached only 5% of pure PLA's yield stress (see static analysis screenshot online). Use at your own risk!
