The plan was to craft a straightforward enclosure for a touchpad salvaged from an old HP laptop. This housing accommodates a PS/2-touchpad connected via a PS/2-USB adapter (1. Pin 22 VCC; 2. Pin 10 CLK; 3. Pin 11 Data; 4. Pin 23 Gnd). The bottom and fasteners could be optimized, but the current version is acceptable.
