The Rubik's Cube is a three-dimensional combination puzzle invented by architect Ernő Rubik in 1974. In his iconic Rubik's Cube, there are six faces, each covered with a distinct solid color: yellow, green, orange, blue, red, and white. These faces can rotate freely due to internal pivot mechanisms, allowing individual blocks of colors to jumble and mix. To solve the puzzle, each face must return to its original solid color. This activity requires users to rely heavily on visual representations of colors on the object to solve the puzzle. The Touch Cube is an add-on that transforms the individual blocks of the puzzle into three-dimensional planes. It explores the tactile nature of a Rubik's cube rather than the visual one and bridges the connection between sensory input and memory. Players can enjoy the Touch Cube under the table, in darkness, or behind someone's back. Instead of relying on sight, players become dependent on touch to solve the Touch Cube.
