EDIT 8/17/2015: I've Added "HighRes ToT Arch (Repaired) STL" for Easy Printing! I Designed This Model to Push the Limits of My Printer and Calibrate Its Retraction Settings. The Following Print Settings are Listed Below: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Try Printing Two HighRes_ToT_Arch_Repaired_STL.stl Models and Glue Them Together for a Completed Shape. Alternatively, Keep the Arch by Itself. This Make Was Printed on My Ultimaker 2 Using PLA. I Sliced the Model in Cura After Scaling It Down to 80% With the Following Print Settings: TIP: The Bottom of the Model is Quite Small; Use Strong Bed Adhesion and Consider Translating the Model in the Negative Z Axis for Easier Printing. Temperature: 200°C Build Plate Temp: 65°C Infill: 20% Print Speed: 50 mm/s Travel Speed: 125 mm/s Layer Height: 0.15 mm Build Plate Adhesion: Brim With 10 mm Width Wall Thickness: 1.05 mm (3 Lines) ZHop When Retracted is Enabled - No Supports! Post-Printing The Model May Droop a Bit, But It Should Still Look Fine After Trimming Excess Material with a Craft Knife. After Attaching the Two Halves Together with Gorilla Glue and Allowing it to Dry, the Completed Shape Was Complete. That's it! How I Designed This Fractal About the Design This Fractal is Based on CmdrChaos's "Low Calorie Torus" (http://cmdrchaos.deviantart.com/art/Low-Calorie-Torus-344056205), but I Made a Few Tweaks to the totoricalIFS Values, Specifically mulA1 and subA1. I Used Mandelbulb 3D, a Free Fractal Rendering Software, to Create This Model.
