Torus Knot Cage and Balls

Torus Knot Cage and Balls

Rolling Torus Knots with wireframe modifiers around three gleaming balls is an absolute blast. The process of printing this design takes its sweet time, and removing supports can be quite the challenge. I've yet to try printing it without supports, but I'm eager to see how that turns out. My experience with a 8-inch print has been enlightening. It took a staggering two days to complete at a rate of 0.15 layers per hour. However, I have no doubt that smaller prints will be significantly faster, though I wouldn't recommend going below 5 inches in diameter. To achieve the desired weight, be sure to crank up the fill rate for those balls.
