The virtual model of the Torre Sul emergence on the beach of Guaritas, in Torres-RS, reveals a striking display of geological formations. At the base of the emergence, arenitos from the Botucatu Formation are visible, while the upper section is dominated by basaltic rocks from the Serra Geral Formation. Closer inspection reveals distinctive columnar joints in the basaltic rock.
