Maestro Mateo\nCa. 1200\nGranito con restos de policromía\nThe exterior railing of the Master Mateo's choir was decorated with a succession of biblical figures, four in each span between columns of the cathedral, separated by architectural elements in the shape of pyramidal tower structures. They represent, in an apocalyptic discourse, the walls behind which lies the City of God. \nDue to their morphological characteristics, rectangular blocks quite regular, after the demolition of the choir were reused as construction materials in other parts of the cathedral, allowing the recovery, at different times, several of these tower structures, some of them permanently exhibited in the Cathedral Museum.
