Installing an 8x14x4mm bearing straight and centered on a torque tube requires precision in an R/C helicopter setup. Typically, torque tubes are made from 20xx aluminum arrow shafts, which measure around 7.93mm in diameter - slightly undersized for 8mm bearings but oversized for 5/16 bearings. The jig holds the bearing firmly in place before being slid onto the shaft. To secure it, CA is applied directly to the shaft using a zip tie's end as a makeshift brush. Once coated, slide the jig and bearing forward over the glue, allowing it to set for several minutes. Remove the jig once set, recommending Locktite or Gorilla super glue due to their superior shear strength, impact resistance, and gap-filling properties compared to standard thin CA.
