Torque tester for stepper motor
thingiverse
This tool measures motor torque, suitable for motors with a shaft diameter of 4.5-5mm (Nema 17 size). The wheel radius is approximately 3cm and has holes for string attachment. Edit the openSCAD file if needed, but understand its language first. To use it, print the object, attach a string, motor, and load as much weight as your motor can handle. Calculate torque with the formula: maximum torque = mass (kg) × 9.81 m/s² × radius (m) or force (N) × radius (m). For example, if you lift 0.78 kg at a radius of 0.03m, your max torque is 0.23 Nm (or 23 Ncm).
