The Surly Troll / Ogre frames have vertical dropouts that are 12 mm wide. Most e-bike hub motors have an axis that is flattened at its ends and is 10 mm thick. This adapter fulfills three purposes: - Fit a 10 mm axis into a 12 mm dropout - Torque arm for a hub motor - Chain tensioner The actual torque arm has a symmetrical design and fits the left side as well as the right side. Inserting an M5 bolt and corresponding nuts allows to build up a tension. This torque arm was printed with bronze infused stainless steel and has been successfully used on a Surly Troll e-bike with a MXUS 3k turbo motor for approximately 3000 km.
