Toronto's CN Tower (Multi-part & Single Print)
prusaprinters
AboutI've always loved Toronto's tallest free standing structure and was looking for something to practice my Fusion 360 skills with so I designed this to-scale architectural model of the CN Tower. The entire model was designed and split with Fusion 360.It's split up in such a way that it doesn't need support for any pieces and will fit together even without glue (hopefully). It IS scaled down to be completely printable on a small printer but you can definitely scale it up if you wish, I designed it at almost 5 times the scale it's at now. If you're interested in scaling it up just take the 'CN_Tower_Base_1' file and see how big you can make it, it's the biggest piece of the set. Then match the percentage scale for all the other pieces! At current scale the entire model will be about 33 inches tall.A 1 piece file is included for those who want to print the whole thing at once! Remember to use support for this one!I really love how this turned out, hope you do too!! Post any questions you have in the comments :)Print SettingsRafts: Only if you don't have a heated bedSupports: No (unless you're printing the one piece model)Resolution: I used 0.15 but any should work.Infill: Doesn't matterAssemblyTo assemble the whole model you simply have to print one of each piece and stack them on top of each other. They should fit nicely without it but I would use glue if you're not going to be moving this model around. I only designed it to fit together because I move it around all the time and needed to be able to take it apart. Here is the order from bottom to top:CN_Tower_Base_1CN_Tower_Base_2CN_Tower_Base_3CN_Tower_Base_4CN_Tower_Base_5CN_Tower_Top (upside down)CN_Bottom_ConnectorCN_Bottom_WindowsCN_Above_Bottom_Windows (upside down)CN_Middle_Windows (upside down)CN_Top_Windows (upside down)CN_Main_RoofCN_Tip_BottomCN_Tip_Above_BottomCN_Under_Tip_TopCN_Tip_Top
