Toroidal Warp

Toroidal Warp

This text describes a sculpture created using Scherk-Collins Sculpture Generator, available at http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~sequin/SCULPTS/scherk.html. The generator produces a toroidal warp form that can be printed directly after slight cleanup in Sketchup. The creator suggests avoiding high resolution output to prevent lengthy processing times for the STL file. Additionally, remember to manually add .stl when saving the file. This user is not affiliated with the generator but has used it to create 3D sculptures for renderings and now utilizes it further with a 3D extruder. A black version was printed on a ToM stepstruder equipped with a 0.4mm nozzle and 1.75mm filament; only minor cleanup was required due to small overhang loops.
