Toroidal Toy
thingiverse
This work is a modified version of MakeALot and chylld's earlier creations, inspired by a desire for more adjustable models. The creator switched to a different coordinate system due to difficulty with toroids. It's considered a toy because it takes more time to find interesting settings than to compile and print variations. In 2011-06-21 update, the algorithm was implemented in Art of Illusion for higher resolution STL generation at lower computational cost. To use this model, adjust parameters in OpenSCAD, compile and render to CGAL, export as STL, slice in your preferred 3D software, and print on your 3D printer. Alternatively, in Art of Illusion, install the STL transformation tool, choose Edit Script, paste Toroidal Toy.bsh contents, save, select from Tools>Scripts, adjust sliders, export as STL, and proceed with printing.
With this file you will be able to print Toroidal Toy with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Toroidal Toy.
