The Tornado Panavia F3's variable wing, able to adjust from 25 to 67 degrees sweep angle, reduces drag and optimizes speed when altered by the pilot. Some models feature an automatic system for reduced workload. During high-speed low-level flight, sweeping back wings decrease drag significantly; the weapons pylons also pivot accordingly to maintain optimal positioning.
