I designed this spindle lock for my Tormach PCNC1100, but haven't yet had the chance to test its effectiveness in broaching. Instead, I printed a plastic part and plan to try it out when that inevitably fails. It's made of plastic, but seems surprisingly strong. I wouldn't have guessed the torsional loads would be that significant, although my intuition may be off. Take a look at the design - I've kept the two rings connected except at the bolt attachment point. This uses 2ea. 10-24 bolts and nuts. Remember to set the Spindle Lock to 0 before use. I hope this is helpful to someone. Thanks, Kisssys https://www.cncbroachtools.com/
