Outriggers on the chassis maintain stability on uneven crater edges.The rover chassis is larger, robust, and heavier than other submissions, but can be used for towing, cargo, and EVA transport. Polar operations surveys state the importance of each vehicle being able to serve multiple roles. Mylar scroll boom can be swapped out for other equipment at the rotating drive connection.
