Torch display pillar for bigger little pumpkins
thingiverse
I simply wanted to illuminate Davidson3d's pumpkins. Unhappy with an ordinary LED, I found a torch from Maplin (check it below) and then attempted to devise a way to turn it into a column. With the torch ends, you can use this to light up any object, which merely press fit onto the ends of the torch while keeping the button and LEDs accessible. You can even add a color filter if you have one - 28-30mm diameter circle. The torch has a burn time exceeding 24 hours with the included batteries. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/9-led-rubber-torch-a78rn Print Settings: Rafts: Unnecessary Supports: Unimportant Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Ignore this option Notes: Print two stand parts and one pumpkin base in black, and the Little Pumpkins in Dutch Orange at 200% size. Secure a seat to a torch end with glue (yes, I admitted using glue - didn't have time for designing a screw system) and then attach the pumpkin. Keep in mind that if you use 100% infill the light won't be visible and you'll only see the infill... but the pumpkins will weigh between 41 and 62 grams, as my prints demonstrate.
