TopsCNC Modified Spindle holder assembly
thingiverse
This assembly is designed to accomplish three main objectives: - Stabilize the spindle/router holder against oscillation and vibration by elevating the holder assembly, increasing its height by 30mm. However, this modification reduces the z-Axis' range of motion by 30mm. - Enable direct motor control over the z-axis motion, utilizing the Nema 17 motor instead of an offset motor coupled with a GT2 belt and additional GT2 pulley. - Enhance the thickness of the z-axis cart (elevator) to 4mm, ensuring that the installed router clears the Nema 17 motor at its highest position. These components are intended for use in conjunction, and the original spindle/router holder assembly will not clear the Nema motor. I'll provide adapted parts for those who prefer to maintain the original height of the holder.
