# THIS IS FOR THE HEAVY NEMA23 DESIGN These are some key original parts that were modified while building the exceptional TopsCNC Heavy NEMA23 router. This design is Thomas's third iteration, which suggests there may be some remnants from previous versions. His design can be found here: https://createforcuriosity.com/en/design/9vPDR81o/details. On the two XAxis_Front_Top (actually Z Axis carriage) components, unnecessary holes for nuts were removed. On the XAxis_Rear_Top component, several unneeded holes and some overhang that was part of a previous motor mounting location were also eliminated. A custom support will be required for this modification. A redesigned nut holder for the X & Y axes is currently being tested. This new design will accommodate an SFU1204 ball screw nut. The initial prototype print appears good, and I'm now printing the final version. Once confirmed to fit properly, it will be added. UPDATE: I've verified that this modification fits well and functions correctly on the X Axis. Depending on the ballscrew used, a short 8mm section at one end should interface with the bearing. The other end may require cutting to leave a 10mm section for the motor coupler. This is also the case for the Y axis, but it requires a slightly different holder. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Thomas for his outstanding work on this exceptional DIY CNC Router. I'm building mine as a 1500x1500 setup to cut a half sheet of plywood, and so far, I'm extremely impressed with the overall design.
