Topology optimized shelf bracket - holds over 80kg each
youmagine
Strong shelf brackets crafted to support a 300mm deep shelf board are taking shape! Designed with Fusion 360's topology optimization feature, these unique-looking brackets don't just look impressive - they're also incredibly strong. Each one can hold not only my full weight but also significantly more. Before mounting them to the wall, make sure to secure the wall stud or use proper wallplugs in brick walls. Your mounting solution is likely to fail long before the bracket does its job! Here's a step-by-step look at how I designed these robust brackets: 1. I started by defining the design parameters and constraints for my shelf board brackets. 2. Next, I used Fusion 360's topology optimization feature to create a unique and efficient design that maximizes strength while minimizing material usage. 3. I then refined the design, making any necessary adjustments to ensure it meets all the required specifications. 4. Once satisfied with the design, I generated the toolpaths for manufacturing the brackets using Fusion 360's powerful CAM tools. I'm excited to share my process and learnings from designing these strong shelf brackets!
