Topology Optimized 3030 Bracket
thingiverse
This is a versatile bracket for mounting 3030 Aluminum extrusions horizontally on a wall. I've repurposed mine as a towel rack but envision its potential in various projects such as securing shelving in a garage or enhancing organization systems. To create this design, I utilized Fusion 360 to run a topology optimization and craft the structure. The bracket is engineered to support up to 15 lbs, although it may safely hold 50 lbs; I plan to conduct further testing to verify its actual capacity. To access a more detailed gallery of my design process, visit: https://imgur.com/gallery/3zmhkdM For using this bracket with 4040 Extrusions, simply scale up by 133.33%. Alternatively, for 2020 Extrusions, scale down by 66.67%. If you prioritize strength, print the bracket in a horizontal orientation. Conversely, if you require less structural integrity or prefer to avoid printing supports, orient it vertically as depicted in the accompanying image.
