This spool holder is designed to hold a spool of filament in the exact center of the top rail on the Tevo Tornado frame. Initially, my first version hung the spool holder over the side, and several people expressed concerns that it would cause the printer to be out of balance. I printed countless hours with the side spool hanger without any issues, but I decided to create something positioned directly in the center for better weight distribution and aesthetics. The result is a win-win! Two essential guides are included in the downloadable files to ensure smooth filament flow. These guides help relieve pressure and tension caused by the filament coming down at an angle into the extruder. The bottom guide is critical, as it prevents the filament from wearing away at the spring-loaded extruder feeder eyelet and slowly cutting into it. I strongly recommend using both guides for optimal performance. I'm open to redesigning the bottom guide, perhaps incorporating a spinning rod to further relieve pressure. However, my current design has been working flawlessly, printed entirely on the 3D printer and yielding great results.
